The Life of Thomas Edison

Thomas Edison was born in Ohio and spent much of his early life in Michigan.  He demonstrated an interest in tinkering at an early age.  Unfortunately, he also began encountering hearing loss when he was 12.  As a young adult, he did various odd jobs before starting small business operations and submitting patents.  This led to a growing career in entrepreneurship and invention.  Although he didn’t invent everything he is credit with, he made large advances in areas such as the phonograph, lightbulb, electricity, and more.
